Amazon had recently launched a product browsing feature called Collections that allowed customers to browse through a curated gallery of products in a format similar to Pinterest, and place items of interest into lists to help them build a personal style catalog.

The goal of this prototype was to entice non-endemic brands to sponsor a collection that featured their product prominently, and could offer additional customer incentives, such as a giveaway. In this instance, Toyota Corolla would own a unique page within the Collections experience that provided a direct link to the advertiser's offering, along with items that paired well with the buyer demographic.
